The assembly of each persons armor is a personal taste and is part of the fun of building a costume. Below are how I painted and assembled the peices in mine. This armor is all made from fiberglass and painted with a high gloss two part automotive paint. It can be weathered or further shines by using rubbing the same methods that would be used on a car part.   On the inside, we line the armor with 1/16" EVA craft foam. This quiets down the armor and provides a soft surface against your under suit. The EVA foam is...

This is a quick tutorial on how to finish out your Mudtrooper kit.   Fitting The first thing you want to do it to fit out your armor and trim or bend any parts than need adjusting. We make the sides on the back and front much longer than needed so that this can be done and if needed the parts can be cut and epoxied in place for a better fit. Its much easier to cut out fiberglass and make it smaller than it is to make it bigger.   A word about fiberglass verses plastic armor. Fiberglass is...

If you have one of our Mandalorian resin blaster kits or if you downloaded our files for this kit and printed them out yourself, this blog goes through the process of adding lights and sound to this blaster.  The electronics and process used in this tutorial can also be used in any number of plasters.  We also sell a small sound board kit which makes this easier for larger blasters or helmets, but for this small sidearm, we have to try to make this as compact as possible and not use the additional board.  If you wish to order our...

sound board -

When I first started making Death Trooper helmets I began looking for a simple solution to adding sound and lights to the helmet. I also wanted to add sound and lights to my E-11D blaster. There were a number of solutions out there, but they all involved a lot of wiring and soldering. So I decided I wanted to make an easy to use little board that would combine together a small Arduino board with SD card reader and MP3 player. The result is our PAD Sound and Light Board. Truth is there isn't anything truly revolutionary about it,...

This tutorial is based on using the Plastic Arms Dealer kit or 3D print files, but it should work with any gauntlets. The Mandalorian gauntlets are made in two peices, a top and bottom. If you can easily fit your hand through without opening them up, you may just want to glue the two halves together. But for most people having them hinged so they can be opened up to put them on is a much better option. Why didn’t you add a mechanical hinge? That is a good question and we tried. Here is the problem with a mechanical hinge....
